Bolt and Uber
Their terms of use do not allow a child to travel without an adult. They were never designed for carrying children, and they have not been adapted to it.
Small passengers, extra care
A safe ride
for your child
Rides for children with vetted drivers. Book a ride and follow it in the app.
Why VEDU
A platform made for children, not adapted to them
Ordinary taxis
No driver screening for working with children. No camera, no live tracking, and no confirmed handover for the parent.
VEDU
Vetted drivers, a screening method designed by a psychologist, real-time tracking and a confirmed handover on every ride.
How it works
Three steps on every ride
Request the ride
In the app you name the child, the address and the time. Only an adult - a parent or a legal guardian - can book and pay.
A vetted driver
The ride is driven by a vetted VEDU partner: selected using a method designed by a psychologist, and registered with the ATD.
Follow the ride
During the ride you see the route in the app. At the destination, the handover type you chose is used.
Safety first
How we look after safety
Driver screening
- A screening and training method designed by a psychologist
- Checks against public registers (ATD, CSDD) and a criminal record certificate
Camera and tracking
- Two cameras - the cabin and the road - with video and audio
- The live video is available only to the parent of that particular ride, on request
- GPS tracking for the whole ride
- You can switch the cabin camera off in the child's profile
Confirmed handover
- You choose the handover type for each ride
- If an adult meets the child, a code confirms the handover
- If the child gets out alone with your permission, the driver uploads a short video of them getting out and saying goodbye, which you can watch in the app

Why VEDU
What sets VEDU apart from other platforms
Predictable workload
A large share of the rides are booked in advance and repeat: the school run, after-school activities.
Fits around your current work
VEDU rides fill the scheduled morning and afternoon slots well. You are free to keep driving for other platforms.
Training is paid for
VEDU covers the psychological assessment and the safety training. You pay nothing to get started.
